since i’ve already done some html and css at my old uni, i decided to challenge myself for this assignment. i decided to go with a minimalist design, not using any color at all. this created many design challenges in figuring out how to make things look good with limited tools. having to rely on shapes and negative space to create visual hierarchy was a fun challenge.
i chose to go with a 33/33/33 layout for the pages with text because i loved the idea of having the middle portion of the screen blank with the important info on the sides, which is the exact opposite of what modern web pages do. on top of it all, i decided to make everything as responsive as possible, which was the most difficult challenge of them all, but i’m very proud of the result, especially the landing page.
